I made it to Round 3! This is just too much fun and really pushes my scrapping skills, soooo, I am excited to keep going. So here is my latest entry for week 3 using the Far, Far Away kit. Here’s hoping I continue to move on to the next round.

Haynay Designs released a new kit last Friday called A Stone’s Throw. It is such a fun kit with lots of uses … boys, camping, nature, scouts … you can get some ideas here. She also has a freebie from this kit for you there! A Stone’s Throw is available now at scrapmatters.com. Here is one page I have created with this kit. I know I will be going to this kit again and again for its versatility.

It’s official! I was asked to be on the creative team for Haynay Designs. I am very excited about this new opportunity and I’m looking forward to creating some great pages. With National Scrapbooking Day this Saturday, I have a couple pages waiting in the wings to be released. Okay, I made it to Round 2 of the contest and there are more wonderful papers in the gallery all for free. You have to register and log into in the forum and then click gallery (where you may have to login again) and scroll to the bottom. Click on Design Star and you’ll see both Round 1 (mini kits and Round 2). Lots of cool items for download!

I entered the ScrapMatters.com Design Star contest to win a job designing digital scrap kits. Round one had 100 contestants and you can see all the kits at ScrapMatters.com. Of these, they selected 24 contestants to move on to the 2nd and 3rd rounds. For a limited tme, to see and DOWNLOAD the kits you will have to register for the forum and while logged into the forum, you can click on gallery and scroll to the bottom for the Design Star Round One kits. The gallery may ask you to log in again. I am DS130 and my kit is titled “Nutty for Paisley.” It’s at the top of the second page of the gallery. While you are there you can go to the Welcome forum thread and say hello and if you mention that DS130/GopherGirl sent ya’, it would greatly appreciated. I wish I could load it here, but it is against contest rules, sorry. Once you register though, you can download any of the kits you like in the Design Star Gallery.
