Life is a circus. At least it can seem that way sometimes … and if you have kids, maybe more often than not. ;) I don’t recall seeing the circus as a kid, but I definitely went to and was in my fair share of parades. As the kids get older I hope to bring them to more parades and maybe even the circus. (let’s hope the find clowns funny ha ha, not funny weird.) But for right now, the only circus in my life is really my daily routine and an occasional birthday party.

Whether you’ve been to the circus or a parade lately or not, there are still plenty of colorful items in my latest kit at ScrapGirls! Have your pages step into the center ring with my Circus On Parade digital scrapbooking collection! Scrap all your circus, carnival, parade and fair memories with this colorful kit. You can make the greatest scrapbook pages on Earth!

Lady Liberty

The are moments in your life that you remember forever. It was a plane ride to go visit colleges and the pilot asked if we wanted to see the statue of liberty. The few of us on board said yes, so the pilot flew us in a wide circle around her. Although not super close, she was still amazing. Her majestic torch held high in the air as a beacon to all that this is a place of freedom. What an magical experience it was. One that filled a typical teenager with a new sense of pride in her country and the fact that I was a part of something so much larger than myself. It opened my eyes to the country as a whole, not just the little piece of it I lived in all my life. It was definitely a different time and place back then, but I’m thankful I got to see Lady Liberty in her glory. And no picture will ever do her or this memory justice.

Here is a layout I made using the New York City kit at Scrapgirls.com. The sale is still on for a few more hours … it ends at midnight MST on 9/30/09!

I’ve been to NYC once. And it is not a city that you can easily forget. The sheer size is mind-boggling … and it make hustle and bustle look like a snail’s pace. I remember just staring down the street and being amazed that the buildings were that tall and went on forever. And I spent time in Chicago prior to my visit! (Chicago rocks BTW, it’s my kind of town, but NYC definitely makes it look smaller.) I was only there for a short time, so I didn’t get to see everything on my list, but a walk in Central Park, a visit to the MOMA and some kick butt Asian food made it a great visit none-the-less. I know when I go back, there probably won’t be quite the same sense of awe, (a whole been there, done that kind of thing) but I look forward to visiting again to experience the city that never sleeps and to enjoy the infinite possibilities of what NYC has to offer.

Do you need to scrap memories from a trip to The Big Apple? Love a NYC-based movie? Or have you been to another big city and need to capture the hustle and bustle … have I got a digital scrapbooking kit for you! My latest kit available at Scrapgirls.com is New York City. Filled with New York City landmarks and typical big city things, this kit will have your big city memories scrapped in a New York Minute! Image is linked.
